Cravings And How To Deal With Them


There are two main reasons why people crave things. The first is because of association with other every day events or places we go. A good example of this is the association with smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee, or while talking on the phone.

The second reason why people crave cigarettes is the affect of nicotine and the way it has affected and changed the brain through years of smoking. This also takes time to change back to its normal state.

There are many connections and habits like this which will need to be avoided and eventually overcome, which can take months or even years to achieve.

Cravings only last 3-5 minutes and they WILL go away. Keeping occupied through these minutes will make the difference between quitting and not quitting.
